My love of traveling began when I was very small. My parents would take us on multiple vacations each year, often to the mountains, Walt Disney World and cruises. With traveling at such a small age, for many years I always wanted to escape my small home town. When 9/11 happened, I was in my first years of high school. The day I watched those towers fall, in my 10th grade art class, I knew God was calling me to join the military. Shortly after high school, I chose to join the branch that would not only give me the opportunity to serve my country, but would allow me to see a little more of the world.

I spent 4 years in the US Navy, where I was stationed in Pearl Harbor Hawaii. While in the Navy, I was able to travel to more than 13 different countries, multiple times. Hawaii is also where I met my husband, who is also a Navy Veteran. We had our first child in Hawaii and resided there until 2012, when we found out we were having another little girl. We wanted to have a more stable family life, so we decided to leave the military lifestyle and move back to small town American to raise our girls.

Each year we plan multiple family vacations for our girls, just as my parents did for me growing up. I want them to be able to see the wonders of the world, experience different cultures and enjoy life to the fullest. My husband and I have now traveled over 20 countries together, and half of the United States. I get so excited to plan our vacations, the anticipation of watching the joy and wonder in my girls eyes is what I live for.

When I was introduced to the owners of Ohana Memories Vacations, I knew this was another calling for me. I love to plan vacations for family and friends, so what would be a better job than doing it for a living?
